Malin Nordlöf is principal flutist in the Malmö Symphony Orchestra since 2000. She previously held positions in the Royal Opera in Stockholm (solo flute), and the Gothenburg Symphony/National Orchestra of Sweden. She is also principal flutist of conductor Gianandrea Noseda’s Orchestra delle Settimane musicali de Stresa e del Lago Maggiore since 2003. She has been a guest in many orchestras around Europe including the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Danish Chamber Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic of Stockholm, the Royal Opera of Copenhagen, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie. Malin has been a frequent soloist with the Malmö Symphony, playing concertos by f ex Chaminade, Nielsen, Bach and Mozart, with conductors such as Mario Venzago, Marc Soustrot, Rainer Honeck and Håkan Hardenberger. She has taught at the Malmö Academy of Music, the Musik i Hallands summer orchestra course (Swedish Youth Symphony Orchestra) and the Royal Swedish Navy Cadet Band. Malin studied at the Conservatory of the city of Vienna, The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen and with Gérard Schaub at the Gothenburg Music Academy. She had masterclasses and private studies with Andreas Blau, Jean-Pierre Rampal and Jonathan Snowden among others.
